Pointe Shoes

We carry a full range of Pointe and Demi Pointe shoes from brands including Bloch, Merlet, Russian Class, Capezio, Freed and Grishko.

We actively seek out and view new brands to ensure that the shoes we have available are current and suitable for our wide ranging customer base, from the first time wearers to experienced professional and semi-professional dancers. 

Due to the importance of having shoes fit correctly we encourage you to book an appointment to have your shoes professionally fit in store by one of our fully trained fitters.

When you attend for a fitting we ask that you prepare before the appointment by bringing your existing pair of pointes (if any), bring toe pads or spacers if you usually wear them, come with clean feet, trim your toenails and wear clean convertible tights or ballet socks. Our fitter will want to look at your feet and may need to touch them but will ensure she has your permission first.

Please do not book a fitting unless you have been advised by your ballet teacher that you are ready for pointe shoes. We will not fit students who are not attending a pointe class or do not have their teachers support to wear pointe shoes and reserve the right to refuse a sale should the fitter feel that the student is not yet ready for pointe shoes. If a sale is refused we will discuss with you why we have done so and what to do next.

All our fitters have attended professionally taught courses and can offer advice and information on strengthening exercises, correct placement and sewing of ribbons and support elastic (if required), care of your shoes to help them last and when to recognise that its time to replace them.
