Capezio Enni #2 Pointe Shoes

Designed in Europe and created to provide a combination of flexibility, control and comfort, the Capezio Enni is a beautifully streamlined pointe shoe particularly suited to dancers with a Grecian or Greek-shaped foot, where the second toe is the longest.

The Enni features a moderate box with a moderate, slightly tapered platform. This provides a neat and elegant appearance while still offering a practical surface for balancing en pointe.

Its flexible #2 leatherboard shank is half-skived, allowing the shoe to bend more freely through the arch. This makes the Enni particularly useful for dancers who need less resistance from their pointe shoe or who find a firmer shank prevents them from fully reaching the platform.

The low U-shaped vamp works especially well for dancers with shorter toes or a lower-profile forefoot. Longer, streamlined wings provide additional support on both sides of the foot, helping to contain the metatarsals and maintain alignment en pointe.

A higher heel with an internal counter helps the back of the shoe remain secure and reduces unwanted heel slippage.

Who is the Capezio Enni most suited to?

The Enni is particularly worth trying for dancers with:

• A Grecian or Greek-shaped foot, where the second toe is longest
• Shorter toes or a preference for a lower vamp
• A moderate-to-low foot profile
• A moderately tapered forefoot
• An arch that requires a more flexible shank
• A heel that tends to slip in lower-cut pointe shoes

The Enni may also be considered during a first pointe fitting for a correctly prepared dancer who needs a flexible shoe with a relatively low vamp. However, the #2 shank must still provide sufficient support to prevent sinking, over-arching or loss of alignment.

Pointe-shoe fitting advice

Pointe shoes should fit precisely and should never be purchased with room for growth. Capezio suggests starting approximately half a size above normal street-shoe size, but this is only an initial guide.

The dancer’s toe length, foot shape, width, compressibility, crown, strength, arch mobility and break point must all be considered. We strongly recommend booking a professional pointe-shoe fitting before purchasing the Enni for the first time.
